Hörspiel grün

Exhibition at Die Wandelhalle, Cologne, 2000

In the interactive audio installation entitled Hörspiel grün (Radio Play green) the spectator is placed on a one-man stage in a narrow, green-lit room.

As soon the spectator-participant steps onto the stage, a story sounds from four different directions; from left, right, back and from below (under the feet).

The radio play consists of a fragmentary text accompanied by sound and music recordings. The action indirectly relates to feeling “strange” in an unknown environment.  The listener becomes the focus of an acoustic test of contradicting feelings of longing, pain and memory.
